It’s all about relationships – with the media, with clients, with vendors, with everyone.
Focus Unlimited PR helps companies meet their public relations goals. With more than 30 years of PR experience, Focus Unlimited PR’s President, Julie Chalpan, will help you grow your communications department or serve as your PR department, depending on your needs.
Focus Unlimited PR believes in good old-fashioned hard work, along with building and maintaining relationships with its clients, the media and vendors. Everything in life comes down to relationships, so it makes good sense for building and maintaining relationships to be key points to a successful business strategy.
We work with clients in a variety of industries. Whether your business is a corporation, an agency or a non-profit organization, Focus Unlimited PR will help you achieve your communication goals.
About Focus
Over the years I have been fortunate to create many wonderful relationships with other sole PR practitioners, graphic designers, audio/visual specialists, and photographers, so when you align with Focus Unlimited, we are truly able to meet all of your communications needs. Through the years I've also built solid relationships with the media, and that is the most rewarding part of what I do.
Prior to forming my own company, I had the opportunity to receive experience in corporate, agency and non-profit public relations -- all sectors of PR. I'm a graduate of The University of Georgia and received a bachelor of arts degree from the School of Journalism, with a major in public relations and a minor in sociology.
In my spare time I like to volunteer. I'm a big believer in giving back to the community. I’ve served, and continue to serve, in many positions at my church. Other fun and fulfilling volunteer activities have included working with organizations such as the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society (after having served as a staff member), Habitat for Humanity, Family Promise, and many animal shelters. I’ve also worked on political campaigns including State House, State Senate and Mayoral.
Fulfilling a lifelong dream, I wrote and published a book, Titan's Tales and Other Dog Adoption Love Stories, and all of the money goes to help rescue dogs and animal shelters, including Gwinnett Humane Society, Brooke’s Haven and Raintree Jacks who saved our sweet Titan, Cassie and Shelton.
I think it's important for you to know a little bit about a person before you work with them. Hope this gives you a better idea of who I am, and I look forward to the prospect of working with you!
Services
Media Relations:
We work with trade and consumer media, as well as bloggers, to get your message across to your target audience. This is where relationships come in. The media knows that we are here to help and are responsive to their needs, as well as proactively pitching story ideas and our clients’ news.
Social Media:
We can help with your social media needs by setting up your social media sites and keeping them up-to-date.
Writing:
We will help you with all of your writing needs - feature articles, case studies, press releases, newsletters, press kits, blogs – and pitch these pieces to the media. The technology in the distribution of these pieces has dramatically changed over the past 30+ years, but the media still wants the same thing. We will create and deliver interesting, factual and current news to the media.
Special Events & Campaigns:
We’ve worked in special events for many years. From galas to political campaigns to press conferences to trade shows, we can help you create, implement and publicize your event or campaign.
Communications Strategy:
When you work with Focus Unlimited, the first thing we do is sit down with you and discuss your needs and goals. We will work with you to create a communications strategy to meet your goals, and then implement your communications plan.
Testimonials
“Every magazine editor has his or her favorite PR professionals. They are whom we reach out to on deadline when we have last-minute editorial space because we know he or she will come through. Very few PR professionals earn this coveted spot in an editor’s heart because it is a difficult role to fill. To earn a “favorites” spot, PR professionals must respond to an editor’s request anytime—day, night, weekend, while on vacation or traveling. Julie Chalpan is one of my favorite PR professionals. I have worked closely with her for more than eight years and she slid easily into my very small “favorites” club. She has responded to my requests for images and/or copy moments before a newsletter with a hole to fill was being blasted out—while she was traveling. She always sends me anything I need within minutes—not hours or days—of my request. That’s what I want and what I need to get my job done; yet very few PR professionals respond like Julie. In addition, Julie is a consummate professional. She knows how to do her job effectively and efficiently. Julie is a joy to work with. I have enjoyed getting to know her as a person and I consider her a friend.”
